General Manager
Jon has been affiliated with Rose City his entire life. He has been employed here for over 45 years. The Ollerenshaw family has been affiliated with the Rose City Cemetery since 1936. His knowledge and history of Portland and the Cemetery prove invaluable insight to helping families make their final arrangements for their loved ones.
Jon also likes cats, and much like a cat, doesn't like having his picture taken.
Cemetery Manager
Mike grew up most of his life in Oregon. He studied Mortuary Sciences and General Studies at Mt. Hood Community College. His service to Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home began in March, 1993 as an apprentice. After serving his apprenticeship and getting his funeral directors license, he left the business in 1996 to pursue other interests.Funeral Director, Funeral Home Manager
Joel has been a funeral director for Rose City since 2008. He was born and raised in Eastern Washington and has lived in Oregon since 2006. He majored in science at Eastern Washington University and has an associate’s degree in Mortuary Science from Mt. Hood Community College. In his off time he enjoys classic and antique cars, and collecting antiques as well. He also enjoys camping and the outdoors. He knows from experience that losing a loved one is never easy, and helps to make the process as comfortable as possible for families in need.Funeral Director
Buck, a native New Mexican came to Portland in 2003 to pursue a career in the funeral industry. After graduating Mt. Hood Community College’s Funeral Service program in 2006, he completed his apprenticeship and became a fully licensed funeral director in 2007.
Buck has served hundreds of families in the Portland metro area and was very happy to join our team here at Rose City in 2018. In his off time, Buck loves spending time with his daughter and their family pets. He also enjoys live music, going to the movies and backyard barbeques.
Funeral Director
Jean, the newest addition to the Rose City funeral home team, is also everyone's favorite addition and is highly qualified to speak on most everything, as long as most everything only includes funeral directing and her dogs.
She feels blessed to be working with colleagues she admires and trusts, while also treating family's loved ones with the kindness and dignity Rose City exemplifies.

Megan grew up in the PNW, and is proud to call Portland her home. After several years working in the wellness industry, Megan finally acted on her calling to the funeral industry.

Jessica grew up in Southern California but has called Oregon her home for the last 15 years, and currently lives in the Woodstock neighborhood. She enjoys making connections with her community through playing music and supporting small local businesses.
Alongside a BFA from UC Santa Cruz and an AAS in Paramedicine from OHSU, she recently graduated from Mt Hood CC with an AAS in Funeral Services Education.
She also really likes cats, just like our owner Jon.
The five person, Rose City Cemetery grounds keeping staff has well over 100 years of combined experience. Their professionalism and deep history in serving families has made Rose City not only a beautiful place, but also one of comfort and peace.
