Once you request the services of Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home, we will immediately put our experienced funeral professionals to work for you. A single, dedicated individual will stay in contact with you every step of the way and guide you through the decision-making process. He or she will carefully explain your options, make recommendations at your request, take care of all the small details, and ensure that you and your family’s personal touch is always present.
We are a caring, thoughtful and service oriented funeral home and cemetery that is owned and operated by local people who live in your community.
General Manager
Jon has been affiliated with Rose City his entire life. He has been employed here for over 45 years. The Ollerenshaw family has been affiliated with the Rose City Cemetery since 1936. His knowledge and history of Portland and the Cemetery prove invaluable insight to helping families make their final arrangements for their loved ones.
Jon also likes cats, and much like a cat, doesn't like having his
picture taken.
Managing Director, Cemetery Counselor, Preneed Specialist
Jean has been a member of the
Rose City team since mid-2021, when she began her career as an apprentice
director before eventually becoming a licensed funeral director.
Prior to her move to Portland, she lived in Florida, where she
graduated from FGCU with her BA in English and the University of Miami with her MFA in Creative Writing. Before the career shift into the funeral industry, she
worked as a freelance technical writer.
Having recently gone through the loss of a loved one, she
understands how difficult it can be to make decisions while grieving,
especially when making funeral arrangements, and uses her own experiences to
help guide families in making informed and sensible choices.
PS: Jean is also totally everyone’s favorite.
Funeral Director, Cemetery Counselor
Jessica grew up in Southern California but has called Oregon her home for the last 15 years, and currently lives in the Woodstock neighborhood. She enjoys making connections with her community through playing music and supporting small local businesses.
Alongside a BFA from UC Santa Cruz and an AAS in Paramedicine from OHSU, she recently graduated from Mt Hood CC with an AAS in Funeral Services Education.
She also really likes cats, just like our owner Jon.

Anna moved to Portland in 2021. She shifted careers to the funeral industry about a year ago, with the desire to help families during a difficult time. She is excited to be part of the Rose City team and working towards her funeral director’s license.
She enjoys exploring the city, and local climbing areas around Portland. And like many of her fellow coworkers, also likes cats.
