Sandra Lee Olson, of Portland, Oregon was born on November 24th 1950 and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 20th 2020. She was an only child born and raised in the Portland area.
She attended school in the David Douglas school district and went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from PSU specifically in Special Education of which she taught until her retirement.
She met and married her best friend Dale Lee Olson, who preceded her in death 8 years ago September 22nd 2012.
Sandy had several close friends, some she had known since Grade school and they had continued to get together for lunch and dinner until health issues came up. She was known for her happy disposition and thoughtfulness. She was active in her church St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in SE Portland.
She leaves behind her mother-in-law, 3 sister-in-laws, and many friends. Her "furry friend Coconut" will be taken care of by a long time friend of the Olson family.
A small intimate family gathering with a wall internment blessing will be held in early October, with a church gathering sometime in the future~
If you choose to honor Sandy's life, you can donate to the Oregon Humane Society, the Oregon Food Bank, or to her church.
