Kareem H. Ali

Eric Abel/Kareem Haji Ali was born on June 23, 1953. He was one of four children born into the union of William Lee Abel and Martha Lucille Abel. Eric attended Central Catholic High School.  He later studied at Reed College for some time and continued his love of learning throughout his life. He was a talented writer. He loved to write short stories and poetry. He had multiple poems published in the weekly magazine Street Roots. At one time he was a model for Nordstrom Department Store. He worked at Huber's Restaurant and Bar where he made a fabulous Spanish Coffee. His life partner, Sanja Adams, will truly miss him and all the wonderful memories they shared. Their love for each other will last forever. He leaves to celebrate his home-coming: Father: Mr. William L. Abel; daughters: Mandana and Katy. Sisters: Andra Abel Caston, West Sacramento, CA, Geri Abel Sizemore, Portland, OR, Arya Abel Garvey, Las Vegas, NV; and brothers: Gary Abel, Sedona, AZ and Tivon Abel, Portland, OR. He has a host of nieces and nephews who will also miss their uncle. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lucille Abel.
