On September 14, at the age of 85, John left this earth after a long struggle with kidney disease, unable to tolerate dialysis he decided it was time to go see his friends and family who were waiting for him in heaven.
John graduated from Franklin High School in 1956 and he will be missed at the yearly reunions.
John owned Christenson Oil for many years, enjoyed playing tennis and waterskiing on the Columbia River where he owned a houseboat for years.
John was involved with Portland Speedway; Greg Biffle days, PIR and attended many Nascar Races throughout the States. John owns an award-winning ’44 Ford Coupe which he was extremely proud to drive.
Survived by his son Tim Woodfin (Tuhun), daughters Jennifer Gutierrez (Armando), Julie Davis (Bob). Granddaughters Brianna Weaver and Sarah Woodfin.
A funeral service will be held in the Rose City Chapel on Friday, September 29 at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.
Committal at Rose City Cemetery will follow at 1 PM.
