Jean Prudence Jarvis
January 17, 1928 — December 22, 2017
Jean (Amato) Jarvis was born Jan. 17, 1928 to Cologero and Prudenza Amato in Portland. She was the youngest of 6 siblings, and took great pride in her Italian heritage. She was a marvelous cook and loved sharing her talents with friends and family, especially with her homemade sauce, raviolis and Italian Christmas cookies. Jean is survived by her husband of 68 years, Aldon, and their three sons, Scott (Tina), Ronald (Jana), and Michael (Elaine), five grandchildren, Evyan (Colin), Jordan, Adrienne, Jeffrey, Courtney, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held Thursday December 28th at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jean's name to the Oregon Humane Society.
