Domingo Enriquez, Jr.

Domingo N. Enriquez, Jr. was born on November 13, 1944 in the town of San Vicente, in the City of Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. He died peacefully on July 6, 2020 in Vancouver, Washington surrounded by his family and friends.
Domingo grew up in the City of Gapan, Nueva Ecija where he attended elementary and high school. He then moved to Manila and attended Far Eastern University. He worked as a fireman for more than 2 decades and rose up to the rank of a Fire Lieutenant and was the station commander of the Tanduay Fire Station in Manila. Domingo immigrated with his family to Portland, Oregon in 1993 and worked at Oregon Health Sciences University as a medical photographer until his retirement in 2011.
Domingo has many monikers as he is well loved and liked by everyone who was lucky enough to have met him. He is Totoy to his sisters and friends. He is Uncle Domeng, Uncle Sunday and Uncle Happy to his many nieces and nephews. But the most endearing name he cherished of all is Papa, as he was the loving, caring and generous father. He will always be remembered for his readiness to lend a helping hand. Domingo’s love for his family and friends was only equaled by his passion for travel to new places and long car drives. His eyes sparkled every time he recalled the time he drove from Oregon to Alaska and from New York to California. The interstate highway system was his playground. He also enjoyed taking pictures, collecting guns, Chinese buffet and have we mentioned, long car trips?
Papa was bursting with many special friends, too numerous to mention by name, but all of whom cherished his friendship. He will always be warmly remembered for his smile, big heart and kindness. He will be deeply missed.
Domingo is survived by his loving wife of fifty years Celedonia, his sons Rey and Rommel and his daughter Raquel Maila; his sisters Eva, Leticia and Amada, son-in-law Teddy and daughter-in-law Cherie; his grandchildren Ian and Kissly; his nieces and nephews Armahn, Wilma, Pres, Heidi, Maris, Rady, Rachelle, Winnie, Victoria, Cathy, Doreene and Kristina.
He is preceded in death by his parents Domingo Sr. and Dolores Enriquez; sister Cecilia, brothers Vicente, Eligio and Salvador.

Visitation times: July 9(Thursday) 10am to 5pm and July 10(Friday) 10 am to 5 pm. Interment: A funeral blessing will be held on July 11(Saturday) at 12 noon and interment will be shortly afterwards at the same location. Family is requesting that guests wear light colored clothing to the viewings to reflect Domingo’s joyful and happy life disposition.
