Dolores "Corky" Poff

Dolores Ann "Corky" Furlong Poff, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away February 25, 2023, at the age of 94. Dolores was born on April 26, 1928, the second child of Harvey Albert Furlong and Ann (Barb) Furlong in Youngstown, Ohio. Dolores had four dear sisters, Bea, Evie, Shirley and Marilyn.

She met Eugene Richard Poff in Tillamook, Oregon. They married in 1949, moved to Portland and had three children. She attended East Hill Church.

Corky and Gene had a wonderful life together. For a time they owned power boats on the mighty Columbia and later switched to a part-time RV life with travel trailers and their cherished "Beaver Coach." They traveled the country together, always on the lookout for the next Beaver-memento! Corky's father played baseball and gave her a love of the game. She was an avid Portland Beaver Baseball fan, regularly listening on her transistor radio.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn; and her children, Randall, Garry and Peggy; Six grandchildren; and Five great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life honoring Dolores on Saturday, March 18th at 1 p.m. at Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont St., Portland, OR 97213. Before the service, a viewing will be Noon to 1 p.m. No graveside service.
