Dolinda Gooseberry-Parks

March 13, 1966 — December 2, 2020

Dolinda Marvette Gooseberry-Parks was born on March 13, 1966, to Marzetta Ann Gooseberry and Herman Harden in Portland, Oregon. Dolinda or DoeDoe as we liked to call her, attended Portsmouth Elementary/Middle School and graduated from Ulysses S. Grant High School in 1984. She studied Physical Therapy at Portland State University in the 80s and Social Science from 1989 to 1991 at Portland Community College Cascade Campus. Her work career began in 1980 and ended in 2000, where she held several positions over the years, including working for the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles in Portland, with her mother. Her love for plants and flowers led her to  start her own floral arrangement business in 2016.

Dolinda’s life was a story of triumph and struggle. Not only was she smart, she was a free spirit and loved life. She was a force to be reckoned with and knew how to push your buttons; but to know her was to love her. Her love for plants and flowers was demonstrated by the many she cultivated and raised in and around her home. She was a passionate mother bear who loved her children immensely and unconditionally.

Preceding Dolinda in death were her parents Marzetta Gooseberry and Herman Harden and brother Damond Fuller.  Leaving on earth to mourn her death, is son Malcom Williams, son Jonah Williams both of Portland, Oregon, daughter McKalyn Parks of Austin, Texas and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many other Friends and Family.
