Dallas Jeffrey Byles

Dallas J. Byles, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on December 18th, 2021.  Born on August 20th, 1995 in Clackamas, Oregon to parents Angela Swonger and Anthony Byles. Dallas grew up primarily in Portland, Oregon.  There he attended elementary school and middle school while graduating from St. Helens High School.

Following high school graduation, Dallas worked in various fields including warehouse, HVAC, and most recently, in roofing supply with Dealers Supply Company.  Imbued with a strong work ethic, Dallas was consistently willing and ready to learn and take on new tasks and develop new skills.

Dallas’ hobbies and interests were vast and varied.  These included long boarding, fishing, golf, cooking, photography, the restoration of cars, and music – playing the guitar and drums.

Friends and family were important to Dallas, which naturally lends itself to the depth of sorrow to those of us he leaves behind at his young age.  Please rejoice in the celebration of his life in the memory of his loving and generous nature.  Not one to hold a grudge, Dallas’ big-heartedness and warmth of spirit set an example for those of us who knew him.

Dallas is survived by his mother Angela Swonger, father Anthony Byles, step mother Tina May Brown, and his sister Dakota Swonger. His Uncle Clifford Swonger, cousin Jesse Swonger. His Aunt Patti (Swonger) Hachten, her husband Brad Hachten (whom Dallas called UB) and his cousin Patrick Swonger Wilmoth. Of special note, at the time of his passing, Dallas had been living with his fiancé Sara Smith and her daughter Addie in Portland, Oregon.
