Christine McGhee

On September 19th, 1925, Christine was born to parents Charles and Doroth Smith, in Colorado City, Texas. She was the oldest of eight children. All have preceded her in death except for one sister, Dora Campbell of Portland, Oregon.

Christine worked many jobs throughout her life (garment presser, prep cook and domestic work) to provide for her three children. LeeRoy Cole and Lloyd Clayton Cole both preceded her in death. Christine leaves behind to mourn her passing a daughter, Ernestine Berryman of Portland, Oregon, and four grandchildren; Lee Cole (Lisa), Lloyd “Honda” Cole (Roxanne), Jenell Cole and Lornetta Cole, all of Washington State; fifteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Christine dedicated her life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her mission was to help spread the word of God to all those she met. She touched many lives, as she was always kind, loving, generous and gracious…helping those in need.

After ninety-three years, God said “You did what I asked of you…a god job, well done,” and called her home.
