Charles E. Covington

Charles E. Covington, son of Brunie and Grace Covington, passed away unexpectedly on May 26th on the golf course of a heart attack. Charles was born Oct. 21, 1946 in Portland and graduated from Grant High and Portland State.  He volunteered for the Army and served in Vietnam. In 1970 he went to work at Pacific Power & Light in their accounting department.  Charles retired in 1998 and did extensive traveling. He married Jane Wright on June 2, 1973.  She passed away on July 23, 2011.

Charles is survived by his loving companion Cheryl Hummel, son Keith(Courtney) of Tigard, daughter Mary of Tillamook, grandchildren Alex and Ellie Covington of Tigard, sister Marcia Cumley of Portland, and nephew Mark Cumley of Gresham.   Also a number of extended family and good friends.
