Born June 3, 1920, raised and educated in Mississippi. He was married to Scottie Lee Ligon. She passed away in 1987 and is entombed in Rose City Cemetery.
He was a a veteran of WWII in the Army and served his country after the war as a fulltime Veteran. He later worked in Alaska for the Army and lived there for 20 years. He lived in Portland, Oregon for 30 years and was a member of the Allen Temple.
He leaves to mourn him a host of nieces and nephews.
