Vincent Rutigliano was born on October 4, 1934 in Grumo Appula (Bari), Italy, the oldest of 6 children. He married the love of life, Anna, in 1959 and was finally able to join her in the U.S. a few years later. He worked hard to build a life, and was proud to become an American citizen. He worked as an auto mechanic, a skill he learned in the Italian Army, for over 40 years. He worked at Monte Shelton Motors, specializing on British and Italian cars. He was very proud to see his two sons, Louis and Rick, graduate from college with engineering degrees. In retirement, he would tell everyone he met about his four grandchildren (Jeremy, Matthew, Mirella, and Mia), of whom he was very proud and loved dearly. A family man to the very end, his last few years were spent caring for his wife and remaining as independent as possible.
He will be greatly missed.
