Travis L. Campbell

Portland, Oregon

God suddenly called Travis home on April 23, 2025.

Travis was gifted into this world to his mother Joan  originally from Peco, Tx, and his father Travis l whose family was originally from Tulsa, OK. His mother Joan was a decades long and loved State of Oregon employee and spent her personal time enjoying friends, vacations, vintage collecting, and was a passionate Civil Rights Activist in the Portland Black Community. His father, Travis Campbell was a Vietnam Veteran, a decades long Field Supervisor for IBM, and spent his personal life spending time with friends and family, enjoyed barbeques, and playing the piano, trumpet and guitar.

Known as Travis, Jr. growing up, he was involved in many social activities outside of school with his mother, Joan. After elementary school he attended Grant High School and was Class President for MULTIPLE years. Travis was known for his class, his style and always dressed to impress. He was handsome, active and excelled in all areas of his high school life in the 70's, loved drama and headed various high school committees. Ironically, and not surprisingly, his father was also Grant High School Class President and is where his parents met.

After high school, Travis was employed for many years at Pacific NW Bell and quickly rose to management. He was proud of his job and loved all of the benefits it allowed him to enjoy, including his "clean" pride and joy, a Black Thunderbird with white leather interior. His last employer of 20+ years was as a caregiver for Portland Metro Residential Services.

Although Travis was very handsome, he was never vain about it. He was a caring person that would be there for you when you needed him the most and was deeply loved by his family and countless friends. Once he entered your life, his presence was permanent and full of beautiful, lasting, and memorable experiences. To know him and love him was a gift from God. Travis will be missed forever.

Travis is preceded in death by his Mother Joan, Father Travis Campbell, Grandfather LJ Campbell who loved him like a son, His Grandmother Ms. M. Daniels, Brothers Kenneth Campbell and Dennis Campbell, most of his Uncles, some of his cousins and a few very close friends.

He is survived by his Sister Michelle, Brothers Mitchell and Steven, Cousin Calvin Brown, His Aunts, Countless Nieces & Nephews, Special Friends Camilla Fountaine, Marcy Dupree, Teresa Dickinson, and too many loved ones and friends to list but is recognized.

Special Celebration of Life at his favorite bar & grill TIKTOK on 82nd and Powell immediately after memorial service. Please sign the online guestbook, and leave pictures, stories and comments on this memorial page. We'd love to read them.

Thank you to all who loved Travis, and we appreciate your love, care, kindness and stories of how Travis touched your lives. It's beautiful. Love The Campbell Family...
