Teresa Louise Melnichuk

Teresa Louise (Dannelley) Melnichuk was born on May 26th, 1945 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the daughter of Arthur Dannelley and Ema Lee Brasuell. She passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023 at the age of 77 in her home in Milwaukie, Oregon with her husband by her side and surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.
Teri grew up in Portland, Oregon attending Washington High School and in 1976 she married Steve Melnichuk, which resulted in a “blended” family of five children. She was an incredible wife, partner, best friend, and a super mother to the children and seven grandchildren.
Teri’s professional career was in sales, first with White Stage followed by the area manager of Gelco Space Corp. During the latter, she was honored and received their “National Salesperson of the Year Award.” Following this, she worked for several years purchasing and sending various space vehicles to a related company in Oahu, Hawaii.
Teri joined Steven in their love of music and golf, whether it was on stage caroling at Christmas time, or family gatherings which always included a talented musical family. Both having avocations in music, she became a member of their band as a drummer and vocalist, performing in various venues for many years.
After retiring Teri spent twenty years as a volunteer for the Oregon Golf Association assisting in the administration of Oregon golf tournaments- from Juniors to Adult qualifiers and championships. In 2004 she was the OGA “Volunteer of the Year” (honoree), and in 2007, the “Volunteer of the Year”.
Teri also loved to travel, and many national and international trips were associated with amateur competitive golf tournaments with her husband’s participation in “NALG” and “WALF” events. For her, this resulted in having close friends in nine different countries who adored her, one trip being Ireland, near the town where her father was born.
Besides all of this, Teri was an excellent bridge player, a gourmet cook, and at family gatherings, whether bridge or social events, she had an inseparable union with her mother, sister, niece, related families and close friends. If she knew you she loved you, and if you knew her, you loved her.
Teri is survived by her husband Stephen Melnichuk, children Lynn (and Ken) Schachner, Mark (and Patty) Melnichuk, Daniel (and Pam) Melnichuk, Jerry (and Danelle) Meyer and Robert (and Joelle) Meyer, and her beloved niece, Kara (and Don) Lapierre, along with seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and another to grace the families this summer.
A Family Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date and time.
