Raymond Edward Spearing

Ray Spearing passed away April 3, 2018 after a short battle with lymphoma. Ray was born in Portland, but grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. After serving as a paratrooper in the Army he settled in Portland. He married Shirley Kruger in 1956 and had two sons, Ken and Dan. His career was spent working for Pike Awning company, first as an installer and then ended up owning the company. Shirley passed away in 2010. Ray is survived by his sons; daughters-in-law, Holly and Molly; grandchildren, Matthew Sites, Andy, Emily, Calvin, Joe and Ben Spearing; his brother, Ernie Spearing; and sister, Dorothy Stevenson.
