Randy Emanuel West

Randy Emanuel West was born July 12, 1967, as the first of two surviving children born to the late Joe Ash West and Ester Neda West in Portland, OR. As a family he attended the Church of the Living God, Temple# 102. He studied at Kenton Elementary School, the Albina Your Opportunity School and, Chemeketah Community College of Salem, OR; where he obtained a Bachelors’ Degree. Even as a child, Randy loved playing sports for Kenton Little League and, later becoming a proficient basketball player and boxer.

Randy met Suzette Sanders and later welcomed Joseph West to the family. Suzzette preceded him in death. In April 1996, he joined in matrimony with Laura Nelson (West). They later divorced. He then met Marcie Fitzgerald, and two sons were born: Randy E. West, Jr. and Jalen E. West.

Throughout his life, Randy worked various jobs as a flagger for construction, a driver for several companies, and an employee at Street Roots, a local nonprofit newspaper.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Sons Randy E. West, Jr; Jalen E. West; Joseph E. West; Brother, Daniel E. West; and two granddaughters; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
