Bob was born on June 7, 1927 and grew up in Enumclaw Washington. The family, which included two younger brothers, moved to Portland Oregon where he attended and graduated from Grant High School.
Upon graduation he served in both the U.S. Army and AirForce. After serving his country he attended Oregon State University where he met his future wife, Carol June Shankle. Bob & Carol were married on June 13, 1953. After marriage Bob began his career in the trades as a Steamfitter working on commercial grade heating and cooling systems. His career also included teaching at the Local 290 Training Center where he taught pneumatic controls for HVAC systems. He retired in 1988.
In his retirement he enjoyed restoring autos, woodcarving and photography. He also volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels and enjoyed volunteering at his grandchildren's elementary school.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years and is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
