Max Shondy Letonsa was born Mac Dwayne Coffey on June 16, 1934 to William and Mabel (Kelly) Coffee in Stewart, Nevada. He married Nancy Sharp and they later moved to Portland, Oregon. Max was involved in a long career in law enforecement throughout the Portland area. He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Donna Zuniga and son Ron Coffey.
