Mary Ann Tyrrell
October 8, 1922 — November 9, 2017
Mary Ann Tyrrell was born Elnora Isabella Kasch on October 8, 1922 in Parkrose. She was the second child of Clarence & Isabella Kasch. As a child her family moved often and Mary Ann lived in many places including Portland, Welches Oregon, & Tacoma Washington.
Mary Ann graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School in 1941.
She married James R. Tyrrell on June 21, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2014.
Mary Ann and Jim belonged to the Cascade Club in Gresham for many years throughout the 1980s and 1990s . Mary Ann also belonged to a hiking group and Home Extension. When her grandchildren were young she delighted in sewing them clothes and then sewing all their dolls entire wardrobes. Mary Ann also enjoyed playing bunco, traveling, flower gardening, arts and crafts, reading, crossword puzzles, breakfasting with her grandchildren & lunching frequently with her twin cousins and many friends.
Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters Dannille Howk (Michael) and Sally Vit (Henry); four grandchildren, Sonya, Heather, Jessica and Aaron; and two great grandchildren Emmett and Ethan.
