Loretta Joy Wyse-Bowden
was born in Vancouver, Washington, to the late Charles H. and Bernice D.(Taylor)Wyse on September 10,1945.
She lived in Van Port, Oregon, after the Van Port flood her and her parents moved to Portland, Oregon.
She attended and Graduated from Girls Poly High School in 1963, She met and Married Lonnie L. Bowden in June of 1968 to this union a Beautiful Daughter was born LaJoyce AAnn Bowden on May 31,1970.
Loretta worked for S&H stamps and later for Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 2000 after 35 years of service, after retiring she still insisted to work and work for World Forestry Center until her health wouldn’t let her work.
Loretta was a proud member of Bethel A.M.E Church, Loretta will be remembered as someone who had a way of making others feel comfortable, and she was loved by all who knew her.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Bernice Wyse, brothers William and Raymond Sr.
She is leaves to cherish her memories a devoted beautiful and loving daughter LaJoyce AAnn Bowden of Portland, Or., 2 loving sisters Tanzi of Portland, Delores of Lahaina, Hawaii, 2 special nephews Raymond Wyse Jr, Joshua Wyse-Elder, and a special niece Dana Wyse , and a host of nieces ,nephews, and other family members
A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel A.M.E Church 5828 NE 8th Ave Portland ,Or 97211 on Wednesday November 16th,2016 at 11am. She will be laid to rest at Rose City Cemetery
