Linda Couch

Linda Couch, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 80. Born on February 12, 1945, in Pendleton, Oregon, Linda was a kind-hearted soul whose adventurous spirit was matched only by her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Linda was known for her generosity and her ability to make time for those she loved. She created countless cherished memories, including joyful vacations and beach trips that brought her family together. Her warmth and love transformed ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences, especially during the holidays, which she had a special knack for making magical.

Linda had a passion for reading and gardening, finds that brought her immense joy and tranquility. Her green thumb breathed life into her gardens, symbolizing the nurturing nature she extended to everyone around her. She had an innate ability to connect with others, whether it was through shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, or simply being a constant source of support.

Linda's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her son, Martin Michaud-Couch, who cherished their time together and carries forward her values of kindness and adventure. Her legacy continues through him and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her older brother Fred McNabb, her younger brother Bob McNabb, and many cherished sisters-in-law, including Lisa, Donna, Cil, Jan, and Judy. Linda was also a beloved aunt to her 11 nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by close friends Nancy Johnson and Tanny Brown, along with many others whose lives she enlightened.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Annie McNabb; her older sister Diane Blackledge; her ex-husband Jon Couch; her sister-in-law Rebecca Gaynor; and her mother-in-law Maxine. Each of them left an indelible mark on her life, and their memories continue to resonate within her loved ones.
