Lauranetta Jackson

Lauranetta "Penny" Jackson was born on September 9, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the union of James and Nettie Burton. She was the second of three children. She attended Elliot Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson High School. Shortly after graduating from high school, she married Louis Wade and had three sons: Terry, Stanley, and Michael. Later in life, she welcomed a daughter, Carlotte.

Penny began her professional career as a CNA for a number of years and later went back to school to become a CMA. She loved spending time with family, dancing, hosting card parties, and was a die-hard Cowboys fan!

Penny passed into eternal life on Friday, July 24, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Burton and Nettie (Stewart); her sisters, Betty Scott and Lacartar Stewart; and her grandchildren, Terry Louis Williams ]r. and Teerra LaVette Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Terry Williams, Stanley Williams Sr. (Patricia), and Michael Williams; her daughter, Carlotte Jordan; her grandchildren: Sir Mykel Williams, Stanley Williams Jr., Kristina Williams, Nyshae Jordan, Tavian Jordan, Tyshawn Williams, Jamari Williams, Jakil Yoakum, and Jatiya Yoakum; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
