Kelvin Hall — our beloved “Bugaloo” — was born on April 23, 1967, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. From those early beginnings, there was always something steady about him. Something resilient. Something purposeful.
As Kelvin once expressed so beautifully, life is not just a line of time… it is a road of purpose. And what a road his was.
Kelvin was preceded in death by his father, Slyvester Hall, and his brother, Abduel Slyvester Hall. Though they went on before him, their love and memory remained a quiet strength within him. He carried them not only in remembrance, but in honor.
If you knew Kelvin — our Bugaloo — you knew perseverance. He faced trials that could have broken him, but he chose to stand. He believed strength was not something you waited for… it was something you decided. And over and over again, he decided to rise.
He was a leader — not because he sought recognition, but because he lifted others. He stood with people, not above them. He spoke encouragement when others felt defeated. He built bridges where others saw barriers. His leadership was quiet, steady, and rooted in heart.
Faith anchored his life. It guided him through uncertainty and steadied him in doubt. He did not simply speak of faith — he lived it. Through humility. Through compassion. Through trust in God’s presence in every season.
But if you truly want to understand Kelvin… look at how he loved.
Family was his heartbeat.
His memory will forever be cherished by his devoted mother, Evangelist Violet Hall… his brother, Quintus L. Hall Sr… his sister, Lamika Hall…Eoj Johnson…
And most deeply by his beloved children:
Tariq Taylor-Hall, Ariellle King-Hall, , Kelvin Hiroaki Hall Jr., Ailee Hall.
