Jeanette Louise Palmer

Jeanette Louise Palmer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 6, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her husband Leo Palmer, and two grandchildren Aimmie Redston, and her name sake Jeanette Roberson, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 79. Born on December 11, 1945, in Sanger, California, Jeanette lived a life marked by dedication, love, and an unyielding spirit.

Jeanette's career with the county began in 1983, and she devoted many years of her life to public service. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life into her personal endeavors, where her passion and creativity shone brightest in her hobby of making jewelry for herself and those she loved. She cherished the meticulous art of crafting unique pieces that reflected her love and care for her family and friends.

Her warm-hearted nature, combined with her infectious smile, made Jeanette a friend to everyone she met. She was known for her ability to connect with others and create meaningful relationships. Her devotion to her family was evident throughout her life, particularly in the loving care she provided for her late mother before turning to care for her husband, Leo Palmer.

Jeanette’s pride in her family was only matched by her joy in being a grandmother and a GG to her great-grandchildren. She took immense pleasure in the special moments spent with her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

In her youth, Jeanette exhibited a love for music and showed talent in playing multiple instruments. She participated in the Roosevelt High School marching band, an experience that enriched her early years and contributed to her appreciation for the joys of life.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Leo Palmer; her son, Brian Stephens; her son Sean Palmer and her extensive legacy in the form of her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughters Samantha Roberson and Cari Porter.
