Gertrude (Reuben) Rosenthal

Gertrude “Trudy” Rosenthal, passed away peacefully February 21, 2014. Strong in her Jewish faith, she knew she would be reunited with her husband, father, mother and eleven siblings.
Gertrude Reuben was born April 19, 1922 in Manchester, England. She served in the Women’s British Land Army during WWII where she met the love of her life, Robert Rosenthal a United States Army Air Corps mechanic. The married in 1945 and settled in NE Portland raising four children.
Surviving family include her children: Eileen Rosenthal, Liana Craven, Pamela Rosenthal and Robert Rosenthal, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and sister Rita Reuben.
Graveside services were held February 25th at WIllamette National Cemetery.
