Gary H. Steele

Gary H Steele 76, passed in his sleep after a short illness. He was a Vietnam veteran and worked hard since the age of 9 building homes of all sizes. Owned a boat house before age 16 but sold it to help his parents buy a home when he went into the military. Met my mom through his sister while working on a house of my future grandpa. They were married 43 years before her passing in 2013. Survived by 2 children (Christine Steele-Layton and Gary Steele jr)   and 7 grandchildren (Beau, Latisha, Joey, Kristofer, Isaak, Maryssa, and Hannah) and 1 great grandchild (Ty). Family was always important to him he loved seeing his grandkids and even more happy when his great grandson arrived. He is also survived by his sisters (Mary, Mollie and Patricia). His other siblings (Nancy Doug Betty Robert Henry David Daniel) Passed before him plus his parents Ralph and Alice. What really broke my dad was losing his last brother Henry on Christmas day 2021 he wasn't the same again. He said being with someone for 75 years is a tough loss. My dad had a rough start in life but he had a great and wonderful ending by being able to have it his way till the end. He gave and gave anyone who needed a helping hand and therefore I know he is watching over his family as our guardian angel. He is also survived by many extended family and friends who will miss him forever. Till we meet again Daddy!!
