Faith Elaine Eisenberg

Jul 21, 2010 — Jul 14, 2026

Faith Elaine Eisenberg, 15, of Portland, Oregon, passed away suddenly on July 14th, 2026, a week before their 16th birthday. Born in 2010 to Joyanna Eisenberg and Joseph Eisenberg in Long Beach, California, Faith moved to Portland in 2011 along with their older brother Elijah, and then lived in Indonesia from 2015 to 2020, prior to returning to Northeast Portland.

Known for their blunt honesty, creative artistry, deep philosophical conversations and lyrical poetry, Faith was passionate about learning and seeking the truth. They could often be found writing poetry, listening to music, creating art, baking and eating sweets, cuddling with their cat "Hype-Hype" (Hypatia of Alexandria) or their sugar gliders "Gus-Gus" and "Sweet Pea", playing video games or exploring their lore (particularly Deltarune, Undertale, & Legend of Zelda) reading philosophical tomes, and having deep conversations with family and friends. Faith also spent endless hours telling anyone who would listen to their character analyses of many anime, manga, and other fictional characters, especially from My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and The Amazing Digital Circus.

Faith firmly believed that all humans are capable of both good and evil, and no one is all good or all bad. Faith was also intuitive and witty, able to call people out on both their strengths and weaknesses in ways that were rare for people their age.

Faith’s memory will forever be cherished by their parents Joseph and Joyanna, their older brother Elijah, their grandparents David and Patricia Eisenberg, and Charlotte Saben, their aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday July 25th at 2pm at Fremont United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Trevor Project (give.thetrevorproject.org), and those who attend may bring fruits, small cakes or cookies to share with the other guests.
