Elizabeth Schneider

Elizabeth Anne Schneider (Betty Bieker) was born on September 9, 1925 to Elizabeth and Charles Bieker in Portland, Oregon.  Her mother died when she was 4 years old. She was subsequently raised by her mothers’ sister Helena who married her father.  She had three brothers Charles (deceased) William and Donald and two sisters Helen Johnson(deceased) and Mary Lou Adams. While attending her Senior year at Jefferson High School she got her first job at Anderson’s Food Market as a clerk.  When she was 19 she started working at US Bank. She worked there for 22 years then transferred to 1st State Bank of Milwaukie which later became KeyBank. She retired in 1987. She married her husband Frederick Roland (Roy) Schneider in 1964.  He passed away in 1979

She has been a long time member at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.  She belonged to the American Institute of Banking and attended conferences in Alaska, Canada and Washington State.  She volunteered for the professional golf tournaments as a marshal for many years and for the Christmas tree festival as a hostess of a tree.

She loved to travel , go to the casinos,  took cruises, bought a cabin on Detroit Lake, volunteered at church, watched nieces and nephews events and lived life to the fullest.
