DeVonte Shadon Nash was born on August 27, 1993, in Joliet, Illinois to LaToya Altovice Davis of Praire Point, MS and Andre L. Nash of Joliet, IL. DeVonte accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Susan Dailey, Church of the Complete Gospel.
DeVonte attended Joliet Public Schools: Farragut Elementary, Hufford Junior High, and Joliet Central High School and went on to obtain his GED in Portland, OR. DeVonte loved his children, loved spending time with them, and watching them grow. He enjoyed making his own music beats and sampling his rapping skills, both of which he was very good at. DeVonte also enjoyed skateboarding which earned him the name “Skater Nash”.
DeVonte is survived by and leaves to cherish his memory loving mother, LaToya Davis; father, Andre Nash; God mother, Kenya Riley; his loving children Jaydha Nash, DeVonte Nash Jr., Amariya Nash (all of Austin, TX), Remington Nash (of Houston, TX), Aliyanna Kelly (of Joliet, IL), Martay Nash, Tnyah Nash, ZaMora Nash, Faizon Gil, CeVn Gil, DerMarion Nash, Nahmir Briggs Nash, and an unborn child (all of Portland, OR); siblings Fontella Nash (of St. Paul, MN), Tesheanna Robinson (of Joliet, IL), Shanate Nash (of Iowa), Darnesha Nash (of Indiana), Journie Walker (of Joliet, IL), Andre Nash Jr., DeVeonte Holmes (both of Joliet, IL), Daireon Nash (of Springfield, IL); as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
DeVonte was preceded in death by his unborn child, his son Le’Andre; his grandparents Ginny Ruth Davis, Ray Evelyn Nash, and Billy Nash Sr.; his niece Tenaya Robinson; his uncles Michael Anthony Nash, Walker Lee Davis Jr., and Johnny Davis.
