Caryl Behrend

Caryl S. Behrend, 87, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Portland, Oregon.

Born on June 13, 1938, in Portland, Caryl attended Rose City Park Elementary School and Grant High School before continuing her education at Marylhurst College. Throughout her life, she embraced a spirit of adventure and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Caryl was known for her love of the outdoors and her passion for exploration. She found joy in hiking, camping, and traveling the world. Her connection to animals and devotion to her children reflected a life rooted in care and curiosity.

She is survived by her sons, David Verrinder, Michael Verrinder, and Brian Verrinder.

Caryl’s warmth and resilience left a lasting impression on those around her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
