Artemis - Karambelas

Mr. Karambelas was born in Arna, Greece on May 8, 1917 where he was raised and educated. He met and married Voula Kapernaros in Athens and was married on March 15, 1956. They came to the USA in 1969 and settled in Portland.
While living in Greece he was a self-employed furniture maker. In the USA he worked for Tempo Furniture Manufacturers where he retired.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church since 1969.
He is survived by his wife, Voula, three children, Rita Lenes and her husband George, George Karambelas and his wife Mari-Faye, Merie Jackson and her husband Craig, His brother, Kirk Karambelas and his wife Barbara, five grandchildren, Stacey, Michael, Rachel, Julia and Benjamin.
A Trisagion Service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Monday evening, April 24, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. and the Funeral Service will be held at the church on Tuesday morning, April 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Concluding services and interment will be held at Rose City Cemetery followed by a repass meal at Holy Trinity in the church hall. Contributions in his memory may be made to Kids n Cancer, Camp Agape care of the church. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is located at 3131 NE Glisan St. Portland, Oregon
