To the family of Urban...Thank you for sharing him with us!
He was a monumental figure at the Elsie Stuhr Center...a lively, lovely gentleman..always willing to listen or offer solid words and a sassy smile. Urban truly exemplified the greatest generation and his presence will be deeply missed by his family at Stuhr. We loved him so much. I hope these words bring a little solace as you grieve..you and your family are in our prayers. God Bless you all.

Dear Julie and Greg - it was an absolute honor to know your dad Urban so well, for so many years. He was always a delight - and always had a fabulous attitude! And he enjoyed a good joke as well - both in the telling and listening. I always enjoyed visiting with him at Mass at St. Pius X....or over at John and Julie's home .... and many, many times on the area golf courses. All he was....was rock steady!!! Some of those golf outings were with my Dad....and some were with Kathleen's Dad when he was up here visiting from Houston. Urban was also one of the last survivors from our servicemen and heroes in The Big One...and the Greatest Generation. One reason Urban was such an old soul - he was from the heartland in Nebraska. As it turns out, he was born on a farm, outside of the very small town of Elgin (recent population: 807), only about 57 weeks before my Dad was born, on a farm, outside of the very small town of Friend (recent population: 1079) - and only about 100 miles apart! Both of those studs left this world from the same place as well - Maryville!!! They just don't make dads like they used to!!! I am sure thrilled I was able to learn some calm, cool collection from Urban. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Take the very best of care. See you real soon. xoxoxo - shawn
